Autumn Journey 2026 Old Path White Clouds: Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha By Thich Nhat Hanh

As autumn unfolds, nature invites reflection, renewal, and quiet transformation. The changing colors and slower rhythm of the season remind us that every ending carries the seed of a new beginning. In this spirit, we warmly invite you to the inaugural Khorshīd Book Circle – Autumn Journey 2026, a twelve-week online reading journey through Thich Nhat Hanh’s beloved classic, Old Path White Clouds: Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddha.

Written with clarity and warmth, this book traces the life of Siddhartha Gautama—the historical Buddha—presenting him not as a distant or mythical figure, but as a deeply human teacher whose insight grew from lived experience, observation, and awareness.

Through gentle storytelling, Old Path White Clouds follows the Buddha’s journey and introduces timeless teachings on compassion, conscious breathing, and present-moment awareness. Free from mythology and superstition, it highlights both the humanity of the Buddha and the practical depth of his teachings.

Autumn naturally invites us to slow down, release what we no longer need, and open to new understanding. Like trees letting go of their leaves, we are encouraged to meet life’s unfolding with openness, courage, and trust. This book becomes a quiet companion on that path, reminding us that transformation begins with a single breath and one compassionate step.

Rather than rushing through the text, our Book Circle unfolds over twelve weeks, allowing space to absorb the teachings and integrate them into daily life. Together we will read, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversation within a supportive community.

Each 90-minute Zoom session begins with a short silent meditation to help us arrive fully in the present moment. We close with a brief five-minute silence, allowing the evening’s reflections to settle before returning to daily life.

Whether you are new to the Buddha’s teachings or returning with fresh perspective, Old Path White Clouds offers a deeply nourishing experience. Its timeless message invites us to cultivate awareness, compassion, wisdom, and inner peace.

Autumn Journey 2026 Schedule

Who Is This For?

The Khorshīd Book Circle welcomes anyone drawn to mindfulness, meditation, contemplative living, and meaningful conversation. No prior experience with Buddhism or meditation is needed—only curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore.

Together we will walk this path—one chapter, one conversation, one breath, and one step at a time.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Khorshīd Book Circle – Autumn Journey 2026, where we gather each week to explore a timeless spiritual work in community.
